Board of Directors

Lisa Bright
Lisa has over 35 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical and Life Science Industry. She is Chair of Resolution Therapeutics Ltd and a Non-Executive Board Member of several listed and private companies including Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC, Ascendis Pharma A/S, Immedica Pharma AB. Lisa also advises Syncona Ltd and DRI Capital. In her executive career she was Chief Commercial & Corporate Affairs Officer and President of International for Intercept Pharmaceuticals. Prior to this, Lisa held various senior roles at Gilead Sciences, Inc and GlaxoSmithKline plc, including Regional General Management, Government Affairs, and sales and marketing. She has particular expertise in HIV, HBV and HCV. Prior to this, Lisa also worked at Sanofi from 1992 to 1996 and GlaxoSmithKline from 1989 to 1992. She received her B.Sc. in Pharmacology from University College London, United Kingdom.
Dr. Lilian Lou
Lily is the President and Program Director of The John C. Martin Foundation, a private nonprofit organization working to bring improved healthcare to socially and economically underserved populations. Prior to the Foundation, she had over 20 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She directed discovery biology research and clinical studies, and managed regulatory and medical affairs in several pharma and biotech companies focusing on disease areas including viral hepatitis and inflammatory diseases like lupus. She was also responsible for leading the medical science activities in HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis especially in resource-challenged countries in Africa, South-Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America. Lily earned her PhD in biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University.
Dr. Homie Razavi
Homie is the managing director of CDA Foundation and a board member.  Prior to working in public health, he founded and operated the management consulting firm, Kromite, where he led a team of consultants to advise pharmaceutical companies and private equity firms on their investment.  At Pharmacia, he led the R&D portfolio management group overseeing assets worth over $7 billion.  Prior to that, he developed the portfolio management process for the Discovery organization at Searle Pharmaceuticals for assets worth over $2 billion.  He was a business development director at Monsanto where he negotiated technology licenses and business acquisitions, and he launched two products.  He has a strong R&D background and holds four patents and is a co-author on over 120 publications related to viral hepatitis.  He has an MBA from Washington University and a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Colorado.
Dr. Armin Rahimi
Armin is a physician with 26 years of experience specializing in Pain Management, practicing in St. Luke's hospital in Chesterfield, Missouri. He earned his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed a residency in Anesthesiology and was a chief resident at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. He also completed a fellowship training in Pain Management at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Armin is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management.
Tina Shearer
Tina is the co-founder and a director of Kaspian, LLC, a real estate holding company.  She is a philanthropist with a focus on initiatives targeting underserved communities. Tina was the director at a private preschool, an early childhood educator, and a junior high school teacher. She holds a certificate from the Monterey Intensive Tutoring in Reading Program, a Colorado Gardener Certificate from Colorado State University Extension, and has a BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Denver.
Douglas E. Spurgin, CPA
Doug is a certified public accountant since 1981. He was the co-founder and managing partner of the accounting firm of Levine & Spurgin.  He now leads a private practice in Colorado specializing in tax planning and real estate strategy.  He has a bachelor’s in science from California State University with a dual major of Accounting and Real Estate Finance.  Doug is also the treasurer on the board of directors at the CDA Foundation.
