CDAF’s Global Procurement Fund (GPRO) provided financial support to launch Pakistan’s first “National Hepatitis Strategic Framework (NHSF) 2017- 2021” on October 08, 2017 in Islamabad. Ms. Saira Afzal Tarar, Federal Minister of Ministry of NHSRC chaired the launching ceremony. A panel including Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus (Director General, World Health Organization) led the event.
The NHSF was developed with input from the National and Provincial Health Departments of the country; and technical assistance of Subject Matter Experts (SME) from Pakistan Health Research Council (PHRC), Division of Viral Hepatitis (DVH) – Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO).
