El Ministerio de Salud de Egipto lanz\u00f3 una campa\u00f1a nacional para la detecci\u00f3n y el manejo del VHC para reducir su carga. Este estudio tiene como objetivo llevar a cabo un an\u00e1lisis de costo-efectividad para evaluar los costos y beneficios del programa nacional de detecci\u00f3n y tratamiento de Egipto. Se complet\u00f3 un modelo de carga de enfermedad e impacto econ\u00f3mico con los datos del programa nacional de detecci\u00f3n y tratamiento de Egipto para evaluar los costos m\u00e9dicos directos, los efectos en la salud medidos en a\u00f1os de vida ajustados por discapacidad y la relaci\u00f3n costo-efectividad incremental.
