Con las hepatitis A y E, el n\u00famero de casos incidentes (nuevas infecciones agudas) es importante desde una perspectiva de salud p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La hepatitis prolongada puede causar cirrosis y carcinoma hepatocelular en los pacientes. La carga de morbilidad asociada con las hepatitis B, C y D aparece de 10 a 20 a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s de la infecci\u00f3n.
